    Pout Pretty...

When dropping cash on that ritual bottle of 15 SPF this summer, don't forget to put some of that money where your mouth is. According to dermatologists, the thin layer of skin on the lips is so delicate that it CAN very easily burn and blister under intense sun exposure. Smartsheild SPF 30 Lip Balm ($2.95 at 3rliving.com) is a good bet for locking in the moisture while keeping the UVA/UVB's locked out. The Vitamin E and Aloe Vera blend smoothes away chapping, while the high SPF keeps your lips protected. And it's environmentally friendly! Al Gore would be proud.

Summer is about sheer everything. Sheer textures, sheer fabrics, sheer fragrances, and ultra-sheer makeup that's fuss free and light as a feather. Perscriptives Lip Shine in "Pillow" ($9.35 at buybeauty.com) is a makeup bag must have. It delivers just the right touch of natural color along with a hint of shiny gloss to keep your lips looking fresh and berry ripe all day...

Hey, they cook when you plump 'em baby. ;)

This by far is my best beauty product. Smith's Rosebud Salve - 0.8 oz.($5.25 at amazon.com), really proves that a little can go a long way. It lasts forever. The cute tin is flat, so you can pretty much carry it in any purse, which is always a good thing where beauty emergencies are concerned. I use it for practically everything. First of all, it's an amazing lip moisturizer and gloss. You can wear it under your lipstick as a primer, over it as a gloss, or solo for some shine. I also use it sometimes as a handy pomade to quick-groom my edges and tame my eyebrows. Plus, it's not at all balmy, so it can double as a skin cream when you need a quick fix for dry hands, elbows or knees. Doesn't slide off nearly as quick as Vaseline, no matter where you put it. Great stuff!
