Progress Photos - December 2009 (-86 pounds)I love jersey knit. It's so forgiving--even without a proper girdle. I was a little nervous about this dress at first, partially because, prior to this, I'd plateaued for a few weeks. The scale wouldn't budge, even though my clothes seemed to be loosen somewhat. So, it's been an interesting month. My scale didn't leap into lower numbers, but I didn't put on any holiday pounds either (definitely a blessing), and I still did the full fat eggnogg this year--boy was it GOOD btw. I simply exercised--intensified my workouts. Interval training really helped. Even made a new friend at the gym. I snagged a M/L belt at Forever 21, and slipped into an XL sweatpants two weeks ago. I'm wearing the belt on the forth notch and the sweatpants are already loose! I'm quite excited. I'll have to take the next set of progress photos in this dress again (it's a standard size 16, not a 16W so it's a little snug around the waist--I had no idea womens and misses sizes varied so greatly), hopefully it'll be looser next time. Keep your fingers crossed!

Observation: Dating is Too HardI've been on the cursed Match.com for what's going on three months now. This is my second run in a year. The first was at the very beginning of the year. I took my profile down relatively early because I realized I just wasn't ready to get serious. Well, now I am. I've opened myself up to dating, and I think I'm a little more open minded than last time. Problem is, not much has been working. I think I'm sort of in a dating vacuum. All the guys I connect with all have problems of some kind. It's weird. Case in point-- I met this decent guy on Match a few weeks ago. Wasn't at all attracted to him at first, but he grew on me. Three incredible dates later, when I ask him how he thinks with us are developing, he tells me that he's still sort of seeing his Ex-girlfriend. I'm like--Whaa? Totally taken for a loop. So, of course, I'm upset and tell him that if he wants to date me, he's going to have to stop seeing his Ex. Well, this guy, this seemingly sweet, intelligent, well-travelled guy tells me that though he'd planned on moving on to a future with me, that his job might be relocating him overseas, and he would need to cut his losses (i.e. end things). Supposedly this had been one of the reasons why he hadn't ended things completely with his ex. He didn't want to start up anything new with someone else. Why wasn't I told this from the beginning? It sure would have made things easier. Oh well-back to the drawing board. Maybe I'm just naive. I'd like to believe in love and romance--really I would, but I'm skeptical and dating is just so much work. Too much work than I really have time for these days. Hmm...hope that doesn't mean I'm going to be an old maid. Anyone else know what I'm talking about here? Labels: dating

Progress Photos - October 2009 (-71 pounds) My cute dress is courtesy of Faith21. You can find this and a nice selection of figure friendly dresses for the plus size woman at www.forever21.com. I'm wearing a size 16 here. (Yay--I nearly clicked my heels when it fit!) It's a tad snug in the bust (I'm technically a size 18 and I'm not sure this is the best dress for top heavy gals like myself). I'm giving it 10 more pounds however -- I think it'll fit perfectly in a month or so. The New Boyfriend...Ladies, say hello to the new "Kira" bag at Coach. He's hott, looks good on your arm, and is rolling in a whole lot of green. ;) I tried him on today, but couldn't find a price tag. At $898 bucks I can only wonder why. Boy, talk about "out of my league"! His fine chiseled leather looked so fine caressing my hip. *Sigh. * It was fun while it lasted babe. New "Kira" Business Bag - $898 at Coach.com
