Fun Finds For Your Spring Closet...
Feathers are the thing this year, but PLEASE don't go crazy!
I love how this one was added as accent. Not overpowering at all, but still makes a bold statement.
Peacock Feather Cardigan - $19.80 - Faith21 - forever21.comEvery fashionable girl knows that a wardrobe is never complete without a really fabulous pair of jeans that accentuate all the right angles!
I love the color of this distressed pair, but some women may find that a darker wash is more slimming. Whatever your preference, be sure to pick a pair the skims the body, is not too tight and not too loose. The right jean should hug the bottom--not choke it, fall on or just slightly above the hip (unless you are 15, please avoid the lower riders), and elongate the leg. A little distress is fine, but too much bleaching or patchiness interrupts the flow of the eye, and will make you look wider. If you need more backside, get a jean that has alot of pocket detail on the rear. If you're attempting to downplay your blessed bootieliciousness, go with a jean that minimizes the pocket or eliminates it all together.
Daring Distressed Jean - $24.99 - alight.comIf you're the slightest bit daring and have a little bit a leg power, you might want to add a mini dress to your arsenal. This one provides a perfect a mount of drape to hide flabby arms and fuller tummies and is well worth the money.

Progress Photos - March 2010 (-103 pounds)Yep, that's your friendly blogger, trying on dresses in NYC at Macy's famous flagship store in Herald Square. You can't tell from these photos, but I've been sick for a few days now with a miserable cough/fever combo. I've missed a few cardio sessions as a result, but good news... I'm still losing weight! Not sure how. My appetite has not disappeared at all. In fact, the meds I'm taking actually
stimulate appetite. I still manage to do a bit of my weight training routine from bed, and I do get out for the occasional walk, but other than that, no real cardio. It's not often that one drops 2 pounds after eating a steak & cheese sub slathered in mayo, a bucket of chicken noodle soup, and three 32 ounce Gatorades. So hey, I'll take it!
The black and white paisley print was a roomy size 12 (misses) and the black jewel neck number was a size 14. I still need to do a lot of work to fit into that size 12 (as you can see, I've still got a that pesky back fat and gut thing going on in the profile photo above), but this is a good sign that I might be able to fit into the bikini I bought just in time to kick off the summer season.
135 here I come. Only 82 more pounds to go now!

Lingerie for big gals: Some of my faves...Who would have guessed that the folks at Lane Bryant carried bras
